New homes in Ontario Ranch
Ontario Ranch has turned former dairy land into thousands of new homes, and with them come housewarmings, first birthdays and the first big family gathering in a new backyard. Hibachi is an easy way to host when the kitchen is still full of boxes: the chef brings the grill, the propane and the food, and we do not need water or electricity from the house.
Brand-new yards are not always finished, though. If the backyard is still dirt or fresh sod, the driveway or a concrete patio is a better spot, since each station needs a flat, firm area about 12 × 8 ft for the grill and the seating around it. Most Ontario Ranch neighborhoods have HOAs and shared parks, so ask the HOA about street parking, guest limits and any rules for using a community space before you send the invitations.
