The city of Orange is about 62 miles from our base in Murrieta, a straightforward drive for our team. Whether you live in a century-old bungalow near the Plaza, a ranch house in Orange Park Acres or a view home in the hills off Santiago Canyon Road, the chef sets up the grill on your patio or driveway and turns dinner into the main event.

Every booking includes a professional hibachi chef, fresh ingredients cooked on-site and an interactive fire show your guests will remember. Choose your proteins (steak, chicken, shrimp, scallops, salmon or lobster) and we handle the rest.

Old Towne bungalows and small backyards

Old Towne Orange is a historic district, and the streets around the Plaza are lined with Craftsman bungalows, Victorian cottages and mature trees. Those homes are lovely for a dinner party, but they often come with narrow side yards, detached garages at the back of the lot and old branches shading the patio.

A driveway frequently makes the best stage. Pick a flat spot of about 12 × 8 ft clear of low branches and eaves, set the seating on three sides inside that area and leave a path for the team to carry in the grill. When there is an event at the Plaza, nearby streets fill up quickly, so keep a space in your driveway for our vehicle.

Chapman graduations and family milestones

With Chapman University in the middle of town, May brings a wave of graduation dinners for students, their families visiting from out of town and their friends. Hibachi works well when relatives are meeting for the first time: everyone sits around the grill, the chef keeps the conversation going and nobody has to leave the table to go get food.

The rest of the year it is birthdays, baptism celebrations, retirements and holiday get-togethers. With the Basic Hibachi Experience you supply the tables and chairs; with the Hibachi Table Experience we bring tables, chairs, linens, plates and utensils, which helps in a smaller home where you would rather not rent furniture.

Big lots in Villa Park, Orange Park Acres and Anaheim Hills

East of the historic core, lot sizes grow. Villa Park, a small city surrounded by Orange, is known for large lots and long driveways, and Orange Park Acres still has horse properties and a semi-rural feel. These yards have room for two stations and a crowd, but they can also mean gravel drives, gates and a long walk from the street to the party.

In Anaheim Hills and the neighborhoods along Santiago Canyon Road, many backyards are terraced or sloped. Look for the flattest spot, often a patio next to the house or the driveway, and send us a photo if you are unsure. In the fall, Santa Ana winds can blow hard through the canyons; when it gets gusty, the chef keeps the flames small.

Planning tips for Orange

  • Plan around the Orange Crush

The interchange of the 5, the 57 and the 22 on the west side of the city is one of the busiest in the county, and Angels games or Honda Center events add to it. An evening start after rush hour helps us arrive with time to set up.

  • Send a photo of the spot

Older homes and hillside yards vary a lot. A quick photo of where you would like the grill helps us plan the setup and the carry-in.

  • Book May early

Chapman and high school graduation weekends are the busiest of the spring. Reserve as soon as you have the date.

  • Check park and clubhouse rules

For a party at a city park or an HOA clubhouse, check reservation and cooking rules with the City of Orange or your association first.
